Prosper ISD is ranked in the Top 1% Best School Districts in Texas. Preparing all students for the best possible college or career future is accomplished through the resolve and dedication of our experienced educators.

  • Our high schools have a graduation rate of 99% with the overwhelming majority of students going on to college or military service.

  • 84% of high school students are enrolled in Career & Technical Education classes and last school year they earned a collective 1,774 industry-based certifications.

We have been a part of Prosper ISD since 2006, with 3 kids who all attended Kindergarten at PISD. Our oldest graduated from Prosper HS in 2021, and we currently have a Senior at PHS and a 7th grader at Rogers MS.

Though our oldest, Mabry, has technically graduated … she is in the “Prepare to Prosper” program aimed at helping transition students with special needs into adult life.

Through the years, the growth, the changes … our kids, at some point, have attended:  Rucker Elementary, Baker Elementary, Cockrell Elementary, Folsom Elementary, Rogers Middle School, Reynolds Middle School, Prosper High School, and soon to be Walnut Grove High School.

Through everything, we can honestly say … there is no other District in the world that we would choose to send our kids over Prosper ISD.  Members of the School Board, Administration, Teachers, Coaches, Police Officers, and Bus Drivers … they are all like members of our family.  With the unique care that Mabry has required since entering Kindergarten, PISD has been there every step of the way in caring for her and her Brothers.  She truly considers them her best friends, and we truly consider them our family.  Our family is better because of the Love, Service, and Education that we have been given by Prosper ISD.

“Our family moved to Prosper ISD from Frisco many years ago. At the time our son was in 1st grade. My husband and I had been trying to understand some of the learning struggles our son was having but found it very difficult to navigate what was best for him on our own. Our son’s 1st grade teacher worked patiently with us and helped guide us, all while encouraging us through the unknown.

At the direction of our pediatrician, we had our son tested at Scottish Rite Hospital. After learning that our son had dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD, we presented the information we had to his school administrators and teachers. They immediately met with us and worked with us to came up with a plan that put our son on a path to be his very best. He completed the Dyslexia Take Flight Program after several years in elementary school.

EVERY SINGLE teacher, administrator, and support person our son has ever had in PISD has always gone above and beyond what was asked of them to make sure that our son was getting the time, attention, and support he needed. He is now an 8th grader and well above reading level. He has a love for reading that is extremely rare for kids who struggle with dyslexia, But I know that the tireless work, and many hours that were poured into him over the years by some incredible teachers and administrators helped open his mind and his world and set him up for long term excellence.

As a parent of 3 children in the district, I will always sing the praises of the many ways PISD has come along-side our family over the 9 years we have lived in Prosper. The education, encouragement, and heart of this district is unmatched.”

“We the Rahman family moved to Prosper in 2016 after completing overseas assignment. Our daughter attended Reynolds middle school and graduated from Prosper High in 2022. We love this town and the school district. Prosper ISD staff and teachers were instrumental in transitioning my daughter in a new school system. She was able to adjust to a different environment and got involved in after school activities. She joined Tallonettes drill team and excelled in academics. PISD helped develop her into a well rounded young lady. We hope and support “better together” initiative to keep this the best town for our children.”

“My kids began attending Prosper ISD in 2006, when there were only 4-5 schools under its umbrella. In the time since (over a decade and a half), the leadership has been nothing but EXCELLENT. Teachers and administrators urged my boys to take their studies and classes seriously, while encouraging them to participate in extracurricular clubs, sports, and activities. If any issues ever came up, administration was easy to approach and quick to intervene. They were already ready to do what was best for my kids, and for the community as a whole.

Personally, I have always been involved in the Prosper school system (volunteering, PTO, etc.) and was welcomed with open arms during each project and activity by the amazing staff and I couldn’t think of a better place to raise my kids. The vision that Dr. Watkins had 16 years ago has continue with Dr. Ferguson. She is an incredible woman and unequivocally the RIGHT superintendent for our PISD. Great people leading a great district.

For anyone who is curious as to what turned out of my boys who were so eagerly encouraged and spurred on by the wonderful people here at PISD:

Thomas Trautmann: Valedictorian (Rank #1), Class of 2022
Daniel Trautmann: Rank #3, Class of 2018
Ian Trautmann: Rank #12, Class of 2016

Any of the accomplishments they have had would not have been possible without the amazing individuals in this district.”
